Mick Jagger at peak pretty in Performance, assisted by Anita Pallenberg in her witchiest incarnation to date. A decadent, fatalistic crime flick where the most action is to be found in watching the mirror-twins of Jagger’s fey rockstar and James Fox’s marked gangster slowly turning into each other. It’s trip worth taking for Mick’s lipsticked lips alone.
